Samskritam at Purdue

Study sessions

There are two levels of sanskrit study sessions at Purdue - the beginner and intermediate levels. The beginners class meets on Wednesdays and the intermediate class on Tuesdays. There are 6 participants in the beginner level and 9 at the intermediate level. The intermediate class is guided by Smt. Charu Bhave of Samskrita Bharati and the beginners are mentored by one of the second level participants in turn.

Other activities

The volunteers conduct shibiras frequently. One recent camp was held in September 2005 when Dr. Viththal Bhave came and taught an introductory course, and another in November 2006 when both Dr. Viththal Bhave and Smt. Charu Bhave taught two levels of courses.
